So someone noted me and asked for some writing tips, and I wrote a little more than I expected I would, but I think they'll be helpful to people who want to write more, so I shall put them here too.

Well I'm not much of a teacher, but I'll try to think of some tips.

First of all, define what POV you're using and what tense you're using. Because it's a backstory I'm guessing you're using past tense, for this make sure you never accidentally switch to present tense [I do this on accident sometimes]

If this does happen, after you're done with a chapter/section always read through it and make edits. Sometimes typos can slip through the cracks and it ends up in embarrassment [for example, if you write 'shock' and it typos to 'sock', it won't tell you it's a typo and you might miss it]. And of course while you're rereading and making edits keep a look out for changes in tenses.

Any English teacher would probably tell you to not overuse words like 'said' or 'things', so I'd recommend increasing your vocabulary in that area. If your character is shouting, don't simply put something like '"No!" he said' but rather try something along the lines of '"No!" He shouted angrily.' This doesn't mean that you shouldn't ever use 'said', just keep it in variety. For 'things', depending on what the 'things' are of course, you can use words like 'subjects' or 'objects'

Although, while you shouldn't overuse simple words, don't just pull out a thesaurus and search up every word you plan on using. When people do that it really shows, and it doesn't make you look smart it makes you look like a poser. Unless you're not using a thesaurus and your vocabulary is just really that good, then you're awesome and you utilize that large vocabulary. For course, if you can't remember the word you're thinking of then it's alright to go looking it up.

Here's a helpful site for when you simply cannot remember a word - chir.ag/projects/tip-of-my-ton…

Before writing, write out an outline for the overall plotline [it can be vague, just make sure the points are all there] and then make an outline for each individual chapter [unless the overall outline was enough] after this is done it makes writing it easier, and prevents problems happening such as if you forget to add a certain important section. If you keep looking back at it while writing it'll be easy like following a map. What I do is I use bullet points and then check off each point as they're being written.

Well this note turned out much longer than I expected it to be Sweating a little... I hope I helped, if you have any specific questions feel free to ask me.

On another note still tryin' to finish this detailed picture, this is taking a long time ;w; I have been addicted to pokemon and nintendogs.

Although nintendogs is actually helping me talk into mics more because for some reason I HATE talking into mics but the damn dogs won't listen to me when I tell them to ote or kuru-kuru or anything so I have to speak up. Thank you puppies.

Although I gotta say, no game makes me want to hit a puppy more than the competitions in nintendogs. Damn little bastards you do not run in front of Guyman when he's trying to chase the lure I will hurt you [that's right my shiba's name is Guyman surprise surprise but my cat's name is Pebbles and my other shiba's name is Akua]
