Yessssssss. Last night I had two dreams, and I woke up early which is rare for me during the summer; yay!
And both of my dreams had Ben in them. Not too odd, as he's become my favorite pasta (I'm delighted that he appeared so quickly, it took a while for Kage or Jeff to appear) but no, he was not the Elegy of Emptiness statue, he was Ben the way that I draw him; basically Link but with the shadowy bleeding eyes.
Okay, first dream:
(I've decided that because this one is longer, I'll put it as a deviation instead)
I was in a shadow neighborhood, no idea where, but it was a residential area of a city (looked a bit poverty stricken) and it was late at night. I looked around silently, and then started walking towards a house (This is one of those dreams where you're kind of playing yourself, but kind of not; you do things that you really wonder why you would do them); well, it was kind of more an apartment I guess.
I walked by a puddle of water on the ground and glanced at it; seeing my reflection. It was then that I noticed that I was not myself, Ginga, but I was Alex Mercer. As in Alex Mercer from the games Prototype 1&2. Shrugging it off like it was nothing, I continued to the front door.
I knocked on the door, but no one answered. Poking the door, it swayed open on a broken hinge. I entered, looking around for the residents. The door opened into a long hallway with a door to the side. I walked over to the door, which was open. Peering inside, I saw one of the residents inside; the room seemed to be a kitchen of some sort. This man seemed to be around his late thirties or early forties. He looked at me, not surprised at all, and then pointed to what looked like a broken glass on the floor.
He shouted at me to clean it up. I think he thought I was the janitor.
Disregarding that nonsense, I quickly and sternly asked him the question:
"Where is Ben?"
The man stared at me. And then forlornly started reminiscing about their cat, who had died a few years back. I had no idea why he went on about a deceased pet; the cat's name wasn't even Ben.
I reached out with a clawed arm and prodded him in the shoulder.
"Where is Ben?"
I asked again. He stared at me, and then walked past me out the door; apparently forgetting about the broken glass and dead cat. I followed, hopefully he would lead me to Ben.
As we walked, we seemed to walk through yet another kitchen. But on the floor of the kitchen something appeared; it seemed to be an apparition at first, I didn't pay too much mind to it; because apparently seeing ghosts was nothing new or special to me. The apparition formed into a solid body; it was the ghost, if you could even call it that in this solid state, of the man's dead cat.
The cat got up and purred as if it were still alive, I reached down and petted it. But I soon continued on after the man. He started talking about Ben; about how Ben had died a few years ago; he had drowned.
I, already knowing this for a fact, didn't really pay attention to him talking. I was staring at the ghost cat, who was now following us. I don't think the man saw the ghost cat, I don't think he could see ghosts at all.
He led me to what was once Ben's room. There was a child sized bed, a computer, a dresser, etc.
Again I asked "Where is Ben?"
Suddenly, like how the cat ghost had appeared; an apparition began to form sitting on the bed. The apparition became solid; and I recognized him immediately; It was Ben.
"Hi Alex!" Ben said joyfully.
I smiled and waved at him. Ben got up off of the bed and walked past me, he picked up the ghost cat and started petting it; the cat purred joyfully.
Now, to my understanding of this dream's logic (as in, what memories the dream apparently had given me, Alex Mercer.) is that I, Alex, was some sort of Guardian to Ben. And, at a certain time, I had to go and get Ben so he could fulfill his destiny, or do something important that he was meant to do. Even though Ben was already dead.
I motioned for Ben to follow me, and he complied. He put down the ghost cat. The cat walked over to a shoe that had been left on the floor, crawled inside it, and disappeared.
I walked to the front door, Ben following behind me, and the man following after Ben; even though I don't think that he could see him.
I opened the front door to become face to face with a delivery man. He said that he had a special delivery, and handed me a bag. He quickly left after that, not saying another word.
The bag itself looked like it was from the restaurant 'Chillis', I figured that the man had ordered something from there. But the inside of the bag was moving. I opened the top and looked inside; there was new born infant in there! although it looked half the size it should have been. The man took the bag, saying something along the lines of 'Oh it finally arrived!'
Both Ben and I stared at the odd scene, and slowly backed out of the house. The man shut the door, leaving both of us outside.
I looked over to Ben.
"So Ben, you ready to fulfill your destiny?"
Ben smiled at me and replied "Yeah!"
We teleported to what I presumed was my house. We immediately began this 'destiny.'
We baked blueberry muffins.
I wasn't too good at it, but Ben was an amazing baker.
. . . Yeeaaaaahhh . . . I have no idea . . .
I think Ben appeared because he's become my favorite pasta, I have no idea why Alex was there, the cat was there because I heard a cat outside before I slept, and the baby and muffins . . . I have no idea why baby and muffins . . .
